THE ACORN
I've been walking and driving by The Acorn for seven years and every time I do, I think to myself, how have I still not been there? Well, the opportunity finally presented itself and we went! The experience and the food did not disappoint. Everything had so much flavour. The presentation was stunning and the atmosphere was so neat too. If you're into vegetarian food this is a great spot to go. Meals are in the 20 dollar range, if price is a deciding factor for you.
We started with the mushroom appetizer and another dish with taro root chips which were both outstanding. My dad had the special of the day which he raved about, Nick had the Halloumi which I would equate to veggie fish and chips served on top of a hash brown, his was by far the hardiest of all of the mains, he loved his as well. My brother ordered the pasta which was delicious but it was definitely the smallest portion of all of the mains. My sister-in-law, my mom and I all ordered the Morel which was delicious and just the right amount of food. Everyone was also raving about the beer. My dad said it was the best he had in his life.
