MY FAVOURITE WAYS TO PAMPER MYSELF
‘The most important relationship you’ll have in life, is the one you have with yourself.’ It may sound like a cheesy instagram quote but it’s so true. So much good can come from taking care of yourself. These are some of the ways I like to pamper myself:
get my nails done
I try to not to get them done too often as spending $30-$60 bucks on the reg for a mani-pedi can be quite excessive but it’s a nice treat from time to time. It’s one of my favourite ways to show myself a little extra love. It’s also one of my favourite ways to treat someone else. If there’s someone in your life that needs a little love or that you just want to show a little appreciation for, treat them to a mani or pedi.

yoga
My goal for February has been to feel more connected to myself so I signed up for unlimited yoga classes at yyoga. I feel like I finally understand what the hype is all about (I know, I am late to the game on this one).
Taking time out of my day and heading to a beautiful studio to practice (hot, flow or hatha) has made such a huge difference for me. It helps me connect to my body and mind. Next time you practice go in with an intention and commit to that throughout the whole practice. One I’ve been going in with lately is to prove to myself that I am strong and capable of more than I give myself credit for.
I love practicing hot yoga in the morning at yyoga in yaletown and heading to a cafe afterward and flow in the evening at downtown flow, the space is lit up at night by the lights from cars and neon signs from the restaurants below which makes for a neat ambiance.
tucking in early
If you’re needing some alone time put your phone away and head to bed early, read a book, write in your journal, whatever floats your boat and get a minimum of 7 hours of sleep in.
meditate
Get cozy (seated or lying down) and tune into your favourite meditation. This is one of my favorite here.
tea
there are few things in life more relaxing than a cup of your favourite tea. I love peppermint tea. I love having a cup after a yoga class. It also always gets me in the mood for bed.
a cozy day in
One of my favourite ways to unwind on the weekend is to make no plans. I love curling up under a blanket and watching my favourite movie. I like to set the mood in the room by lighting my favourite candle.
