THE EDIT 001
THE EDIT
— 001 —
I am so excited to welcome you to the first edition of ‘The Edit’. This will be my new space to share images and items with you that have caught my eye each week. I was inspired to create this new recurring segment after talking with so many of you over instagram DM to chat through design decisions in your home. I am constantly looking for new pieces and collecting images that inspire me and I wanted a space to share that with all of you. Comment below with pieces you’re looking for and I’ll be sure to keep my eye out for items you might like.

CURRENTLY PINNING
—
Wreaths
I am planning on getting a wreath custom made and I can’t stop pinning them right now. I want to get one made that’s appropriate for most seasons of the year. These are the ones that are inspiring me lately. I love the neutral colours and the use of dried florals. I also love it when they’re slightly irregularly shaped with florals and twigs trailing off in different directions.
CURRENTLY DREAMING UP

Dried Floral Arrangements
I am planning on buying and designing a dried floral arrangement for our dining table centrepiece. I want it to pull in colours from around our home and have been looking for inspiration. I want it to be medium sized, not too big and not too small. I want it to be low enough that it can act as a table centrepiece when we have guests over so I don’t always have to buy fresh florals to make the table look special.
GETTING IDEAS FOR
—
Tablesetting
Clearly I am yearning for a day when dinner parties are acceptable, and when that day comes I am going to have plenty of ideas for how to set the table. I have always loved name settings and these are some pretty ways that can be achieved pretty easily. I plan on designing some in photoshop and printing the off at home. I’ll do a blog post on the best typefaces to use and where to buy handwritten ones if you don’t know to write calligraphy. I can also set up some digital downloads for these if you wish.
BLOG POSTS I LOVED THIS WEEK
Make life beautiful with Brooke Giannetti on Studio Mcgee’s blog. Her home is sure to inspire you. It’s filled with patina’d furniture that will give you ample inspiration for when looking for new furniture pieces. I am currently thinking of custom designing some nightstands and dressers for our room as I am having trouble finding what I want and I’ve been going through her instagram looking for ideas.
WHAT I’VE BEEN MAKING
See you back here next Friday.
