APPLE CRISP


My mom’s apple crisp was my absolute favourite dessert growing up. It’s such a great fall treat when you have friends or family over or are just craving a baking session or a sweet treat.

INGREDIENTS:

5 - 6 apples, sliced

1/2 cup water

cinnamon

Crumb Mixture:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

5 tbsp butter

TOP WITH

1 scoop of vanilla ice cream or vanilla frozen yogurt. *optional

DIRECTIONS

Peel 5 or 6 apples and put them in the bottom of a 9”x9” pan (sliced).

Add 1/2 cup of water and sprinkle cinnamon on top.

Crumb together the flour, brown sugar and butter and sprinkle on top .

Bake at 350°F or 375°F for about 1/2 hour to 1 hour if apple slices are chunky or thick.

Place one scoop of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt on top just before serving.
