JOYRIDE TACOS

I loved this fun and funky little taco restaurant in Gilbert, Arizona. Joyride is located in Gilbert, Arizona along a really cool strip of restaurants and shops. All of the restaurants have big outdoor patios which provides for a great atmosphere. We sat outside in the back at Joyride, and we loved the atmosphere. It's a great place to grab a casual dinner and catch up over drinks and tacos.

WHAT WE HAD

Joyride brought us free chips and salsa to the table and we ordered some guacamole to go with them. They also brought us another bowl of tortilla chips to go with the guacamole.They must have known we were hungry because we had already eaten most of the chips before the guacamole came.

WHAT I ORDERED

2 Crispy Fish Tacos

Beer-battered fish with guacamole, Mexican slaw, cilantro, pico gringo on a flour tortilla. They were great (and super cheap!) They weren't as good as Tacofino's fish tacos in Vancouver but those are pretty tough to beat.

Joyride Margarita

Tequila, triple sec and house sour.This was your traditional margarita, served over ice with a salted rim. I loved it, you can never go wrong with a classic margarita.

THE STANDARD

Slow roasted chicken, avocado, Mexican slaw + aji amarillo. My dad and brother both ordered this taco and really enjoyed it but their favourite was the...

CARNE ASADA

Certified angus beef, fire-roasted salsa, cabbage, cilantro + onion. This was my brother and Dad's favourite taco. They said it was delicious. I tried to get a bite but they wolfed them down to quickly!

CUCUMBER SERRANO

Tequila + Green Tea Syrup + Cucumber + Fresh Lime + Serrano + Cilantro. I did manage to get a sip of my brother's margarita which was delicious. The rim was salted with spicy seasoning which really added to the flavour

THE COCONUT

Tequila + Coconut Puree + Pineapple Syrup + Fresh Lime. My mom ordered the coconut margarita which I almost ordered. She gave me a sip and it was amazing. If you like coconut as much my mom and I do then you would love this drink! It's a great alternative to the regular margarita. They had tons of other options that sounded amazing too. I'l have to try them out next time and report back!
