BRUSCHETTA BOARD
I have always loved making different kinds of bruschetta. Tonight we used some left overs we had from a charcuterie board I had made and it was delicious ! I hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
CRISP APPLE WITH CRUMBLED BLUE CHEESE, BRIE AND HONEY
INGREDIENTS
1 slice double baked swiss bread (we bought ours at Ralphs in langley, you can substitute any crusty type of loaf)
1/4 Green granny smith apple, thinly sliced
1 thin slice brie cheese
1/2 tbsp crumbled blue cheese
drizzle of honey
DIRECTIONS
Top the slice of bread with a thin slice of brie cheese, then fan out thin apple slices, sprinkle crumbled blue cheese on top. Top with a drizzle of honey.
tomato with avocado, basil, cracked pepper and garlic olive oil drizzle
INGREDIENTS
1 slice double baked swiss bread (we bought ours at Ralphs in langley, you can substitute any crusty type of loaf)
3 thin slices of tomato
1/4 avocado thinly sliced
1 basil leaf
drizzle of olive oil mixed with fresh garlic
DIRECTIONS
Fan out the thinly sliced avocado on the piece of bread. Top with slices of tomato, top with basil leaf, drizzle with olive oil mixed with fresh garlic. Grind some himalayan pink salt and freshly ground pepper on top.
*I think you could add Kalamata olives, parmesan cheese and pesto to this one too.
SPICY CALABRESE SALAMI WITH CRUMBLED BLUE CHEESE AND HONEY DRIZZLE
INGREDIENTS
1 slice double baked swiss bread (we bought ours at Ralphs in langley, you can substitute any crusty type of loaf)
3 thin slices of spicy calabrese salami
1/2 tbsp crumbled blue cheese
drizzle of honey
DIRECTIONS
Top slice of bread with spicy calabrese salami. I fold it up and wrinkle it to give it more texture. Sprinkle blue cheese on top and drizzle with honey.
