After being surrounded by custom home builds from a young age, I have developed a love and eye for design. This passion has led family members and friends to enlist my help and advice on a variety of creative projects in their homes or for events they’ve hosted.
My design style is cozy yet elegant. I believe less is more Her design aesthetic is easily recognized by its fresh, clean, bright interiors that are as inviting as they are beautiful.
At Stephanie Jean Design, creating comfortable, welcoming spaces is equally important as cultivating positive relationships with our clients. Stephanie is passionate about making sure the design process is personal and comfortable, one where clients’ tastes and preferences are embraced to create an environment that fits their needs. A place they find beauty in every day.
ART DIRECTION + VIDEO
I have always been curious about the creative process, I love learning what inspires and drives artists to create. I love opening their stories up for the world to see, understand and learn from. I am especially interested in telling stories about women with the goal of inspiring the next generation of female innovators.
For this particular video I art directed a videographer. I wanted to capture what went into making of the dress I designed with Joanna Delaney for my wedding rehearsal dinner. I wanted to get to the root of what inspired Joanna and why she chose the path she did in life.
As for my personal aesthetic, I am attracted to light and airy design, that is simplified to it’s most minimal form. I believe this makes information easier to digest by stripping away all unnecessary distractions from the overall message of the work.
ART DIRECTION + PHOTOGRAPHY
I shoot fashion, lifestyle, couples and the occasional wedding with a canon mark III 5D camera. My photography style is simple, I lean towards simple and clean backdrops or beautifully designed minimalist interiors which I believe allows strong talent to shine. I like to use natural light. I also have a soft spot for vintage black and white photography.
ART DIRECTION + GRAPHIC DESIGN
For our wedding stationary, I designed and typeset our invitations, menus, table numbers, seating chart and quote signs and had sourced the perfect calligrapher to execute the hand written type style anywhere it needed to be.
My vision for the stationary was for it to look like a vintage love letter while still being legible.
BRANDING
I approach branding by getting a feel for what inspires the person or brand. I ask them a series of questions to help me understand what matters to them, why they built the brand and what their aspirations are for it. This helps me create a vision for what their brand should look like. I then collect inspirational images and create a moodboard which helps me get a sense of what the brand gravitates toward. I then dive into the work of creating their color palette, typefaces, logos and icons and a set of brand guidelines for them to follow to ensure the brand stays consistent across all channels.
WEBSITE DESIGN / BRANDING / BLOGGING
I branded and designed my blog (the one you’re currently on). It’s a creative outlet for me to explore ideas that interest me and to showcase my personal work. I love to share creative ideas here, my favorite books, recipes, my photography and videography…etc. I designed it on square space.

I have had the pleasure of being a part of countless projects for ivivva and lululemon.
I’ve gotten to work on events like seawheeze 2021, campaigns like jackets and outerwear and holiday markdowns and have worked on countless weekly content launches that focus on digital experience, graphic design, web and email.
